Ramble for Resolve 1: Done!

After weeks of planning, Ramble for Resolve finally got underway at just after 7am on Saturday 17th October when 10 walkers and two guides left Howard Park and Gardens in Letchworth and set off for Meldreth and Cambridge.

The pace was brisk as Letchworth company Challenge Central expertly led and supported the walkers across the beautiful countryside paths and bridle ways as the sun came out and shone down.

With well-stocked check points from the brilliant Challenge Central truck every few miles, the walkers walked on and on all morning until they reached Meldreth Train station at just after noon. This was the 25km point and the goal for a few of the team who proudly and deservedly called it a day and reflected on a walk well done while the rest of the team set off for Cambridge.

Through some lovely villages, across peaceful country side, and undeterred by a heavy shower, they walked all afternoon until arriving at Cambridge train station just after 4.40pm.

28 miles walked and almost £1,500 raised.

'Ramble for Resolve was a fantastic event, and I want to say a huge thank you to all our amazing walkers who absolutely smashed it on Saturday. Every step, every pound will help us make a difference to people who need us. And a huge thanks to Challenge Central for leading the way and looking after us all so well. We hope to see you all, and hopefully some more, again next year,' Gary Sutcliffe, Head of Income.
